Constructed in Western Red Cedar with copper inserts this was an imposing door , 2.9m high x 1.1m wide.
A feature of this door is that it boasts no visible hardware - hinges,handles or locks.

The judges commented
"A very special door, it stood out as a spectacular example of wooden joinery and is one of the finest examples, it has been our pleasure to judge."

Arborline Doors took out the award for 'Best Entrance or Door' at the joinery industry's premier awards night. The entry - a 'one of its kind' door crafted from European Ash was a stand out in its category. Many hours of hand crafted work went into the production of this door which required a high degree of expertise to do justice to the design.

Standing 2.7m high x 1.7m wide and 60mm thick the door provides a stunning entry to one of Hamilton's most prestigious homes.
   

Master Joiner Awards 2008 Entry

The characteristics of American White Oak dictated the lamination of ex 25mm thick lengths to get the size and stability of timber required for the doors. Almost 200mm of profiling across stile/rail and panel.

A combination of CNC precision and traditional joinery techniques were applied.

Crafted from American White Oak. A pair of hung doors to fit trim size 2585mm x 1695mm 45mm thick panels with planted on mould. Doors 70mm thick.
